Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the CDS/OTA exam. Whereas, for OTA both men & women can apply for the written examination.
The minimum age of the candidates should be 19.5 years and the maximum age should be 24 years on the date of joining the Indian Military Academy. Whereas in OTA, the minimum age of the candidates should be 19.5 and the maximum age should be 25 years.
For IMA & OTA, the candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized University or equivalent exam.
For Naval Academy, the candidates must have completed B.Sc with Physics & Mathematics as a subject OR Bachelors of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy, the candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized University with Mathematics & Physics at 10+2 level OR Bachelor of Engineering.
The candidates also have to fulfil physical standards to apply for the CDS/OTA examination.
